I do not entertain the idea that Dash is homosexual (or heterosexual, for that matter). Same goes for Scootaloo. Their sexuality is never discussed, therefore I will not make any assumptions about their sexual preferences.
That being said, I still favorited this. I have no idea why, I just did. My compliments to the artist.
Their sexualities will never be made definite, so it's completely up to the fandom as to what their orientation is. Just as long as no one get's in an argument over what she is canonly, pretty much anything goes.
I assume you mean 'individuals within the fandom', because the fandom collectively does not decide their orientations.
And I agree completely. People can make up their own idealizations of them and that's fine, strokes for folks and all, I'm just saying I personally won't buy any of it. I don't fanonize about fictional characters, I guess it's just my own silly way of showing respect, even towards candy colored cartoon ponies.
However, I will not get in a debate with anyone else about their own views of the characters on the show, no matter how absurd they may be. It's a free world and they're just as entitled to their own opinion as I am mine, and I respect that.
Ooooh! That makes a lot of sense, actually. I could totally see Scootaloo being an activist...I'm not too sure she'd need to be in Equestria, since in my headcanon Equestria is far more sexually liberated as part of the utopic ideal, but still it's a fantastic Cutie Mark.
